ITT’s Artistic Director Sara Lee is currently in Chicago as part of our ongoing relationship with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.

On Sunday families from ‘Purpose Over Pain’ gathered at the Epiphany Centre for the Arts for a Notes for Peace Reunion Concert. The intimate and emotional performance featured original songs, created in collaboration with families who have participated in the initiative since its inception in 2018, Civic Orchestra of Chicago Fellows, ITT’s Sara and Chicago-based vocalists Leah Dexter, Simbryt Dortch, Jenipher N Jones and Sarah Ponder.

Notes for Peace is a very special project that empowers parents who have lost children to gun violence to honour their loved ones and process their grief through the act of composing original songs of tribute with the help of Civic Orchestra of Chicago Fellows and ITT.
