Emerging Artists’ Showcase livestream recording

On 16/05/24 the Irene Taylor Trust teamed up with Drake Music for an accessible showcase to celebrate the conclusion of a two-year collaboration. It was a very special evening, celebrating the power of music to bring joy and personal discovery – as one audience member put it, “songs from the soul.” We’re delighted to present the livestream recording, which includes in-picture BSL interpretation and captioning.

Over the last two years ITT and Drake Music have worked together on a pilot project to share learning and ITT’s Emerging Artists have received individual mentoring and been supported to record, release and perform their own original material. Our Emerging Artists were selected from alumni of our Making Tracks initiative for young musicians facing barriers and our Sounding Out programme for former prisoner musicians.
