This summer Sounding Out joined forces with Musicjelly, a unique audio visual project from Strange Pill artists, spending three days together filming and recording.

After much technical & artistic post-production wizardry from Musicjelly, the result is these beautiful and innovative collaborations which you (yes, you!) can interact with!

We’re VERY excited to invite you to become part of the collaboration:

Inside Out – Human interactive video

Our second cohort of Sounding Out formed the band Inside Out; they chose to record this interactive video of their signature track Human. Throughout the film you can choose which players to hear and which to mute. This allows you to hear the layers that go into building the epic sound Inside Out are famous for producing!

Musicians from all three cohorts of Sounding Out to date came together alongside project leader Rob and some ITT office folk to create two enthralling and fun interactive soundscape loops. The sounds repeat, so you can go on playing around forever (be warned!).

“This commission is based on the idea that the whole is more than the sum of its parts, but that the parts are also essential for the whole to exist; and like all linear Musicjelly pieces, explores the audio visual deconstruction of a song as a new way of experiencing music and expanding our aural perception.” Musicjelly

What happens when you combine a hairdryer, a trumpet, rapping, guitar, piano and drums? Or an orange shaker, chimes, singing, keyboard, bass guitar and computer keyboard tapping? Or… so many combinations! Have a play around:
