Pilot project with Newham YOT in August

In August we’re working with Newham Youth Offending Team for the first time, delivering a specially adapted Making Tracks project. We can hardly wait to work with a new group of young people and find out what music inspires them and help them to create their own original tracks from scratch. They’ll be forming a new band with the guidance and support of three of our amazing project team (Rex, Emma and Rob), learning to play instruments, to watch out for cues, to play in time and harmony with each other, to support and encourage each other to play in front of a live audience for the first time…

So not asking much, eh?!

As ever, the thing that makes these performances really special is an excited audience keen to hear the new music made by the young people. So, if you’re free at 5pm on Thursday 11th August, we’d love for you to come along to join us in supporting the young people and congratulating them on the considerable hard work they’ll have put into forming their new band!
