Lullaby Project film

In her ‘postcards’ from the project in Chicago this Spring with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, our Artistic Director Sara Lee mentioned the Lullaby Project. Here is a beautiful film documenting the project:

The Lullaby Project, which supports the creation and online sharing of lullabies composed in diverse communities from across the US, is a programme of Carnegie Hall’s Weill Music Institute (WMI). In March 2015 it was presented in Chicago in partnership with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra’s Negaunee Music Institute, the Irene Taylor Trust (Sara Lee and Nick Hayes) and Chicago Child Care Society (CCCS). In addition to young parents and staff of CCCS’s Teen Parenting Initiative, the project featured CSO teaching artists alongside musicians of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago.
