We’re looking for a versatile freelance musician who has experience of teaching guitar, keyboards, percussion, song-writing and music production, to work with young people to provide an on-going intervention and support.
Rainsbrook houses young men and women aged 12 – 17 years old. Working in a secure environment is an amazing experience and you will take as much from it as you give; it requires a different approach to more ‘conventional’ teaching; you will need to be able to instantaneously adapt to the environment, the young people and the style of music and cater for the vastly different musical experiences, abilities and expectations of the individuals with whom you will be working.

Rate of pay: £200 per day, 1 day a week (inclusive of planning and monitoring)
Contract: 12 Month Freelance Contract with option to extend

Shortlisted applicants will be invited to attend a formal interview, following which they will run a short creative session.
Employment is subject to two satisfactory employment references and confirmation of eligibility to work in UK. As the position will involve contact with vulnerable individuals, employment will be subject to prison security clearance and/or an enhanced DBS. This can take between 1 – 3 months to complete.
